Hospital beds should be above politics.
But Daniel Andrews has cut 42 hospital beds at the new Peter Mac cancer hospital in Parkville.
Many of us have loved ones who have needed vital cancer care - and every extra hospital bed helps.
This was planned to be an extra ward, run by a private operator, in addition to the public hospital. By cutting these 42 beds, Premier Daniel Andrews is cutting the capacity of cancer treatment services in Victoria.
His decision to cut this ward means Peter Mac also loses $20 million pledged for public hospital beds.
For the sake of Victorian cancer patients, Daniel Andrews needs to reverse this cut.
Premier Daniel Andrews: don't cut hospital beds for cancer sufferers. Allow the 42 beds to proceed.
